Friendlocke Violet Gijinkas (Part 1/7)

Since the edited episodes are starting to come out, I figured that bc of that and the fact that I've been keeping this in the back burner for a loooong while now, might as well complete all my friendlocke violet gijinkas!! Some are gonna stay the same while others are gonna have slight/ complete redesigns, so please keep that in mind!

I plan on posting them in order by groups of three, so there's gonna be seven parts in total, all of which I'll be linking here when done vvv

LARK:

HUGE nerd. spent most of his time during the Uva Academy studying different kinds of pokemon as well as different fighting styles he can utilize once he is able to go out on his own journey with his very own trainer! Too bad that didn't really help in the long run...

His entire wardrobe consists of McDonald's related outfits. It's fucking insane. He even has some from long LONG ago that aren't available anywhere else.

The bubble pattern on his hair is able to move and change. Nobody knows how this is possible, not even Lark himself. All Lark knows is that his hair looks incredibly stylish!

Speaking of bubbles, he has the ability to blow bubbles whenever and wherever he pleases!

Often keeps himself extremely clean and gets upset if even a small speck of dirt gets on him, despite this he somehow smells like McDonald's food and axe body spray. Disgusting. He's so cool!

Even after death he still likes to hang around the other team members as a ghost, often getting to know the newer members as well as reuniting with the old ones. Sometimes they see him, sometimes they don't. It usually depends.

SARA:

Due to being a human in her past life, Sara is able to actually speak with the other humans in the pokemon world. However she usually doesn't due to it being seen as extremely weird and out of place. She did slip up once while talking in the presence of Arven, who thought it was the weed making him hear things.

Oinkologne are usually unable to do much with their hooves but Sara spent nights practicing how to knit with her new hooves and now she's able to do it flawlessly. I don't know how she managed to do that but go queen!

When first joining the team she'd often have the urge to eat her food related companions. It was a strange time for Sara, but she managed to overcome it.

When Peppy gets sick, she usually is the one who nurses him back to health. She was a human once so she often is able to figure out whatever sickness Peppy has and treat it properly. I suppose she's like a second mother to him.

The bag she carries with her is full of thread that she collected from various Tarountula she encountered on the journey, as well as little things she knits together in her spare time.

For the most part, Sara forgives... but NEVER forgets.

Pastey:

Before joining the team, Pastey was a nameless wanderer. He's been down every road in Paldea and knows almost the entire region (except for Area Zero) like the back of his hand.

He's gotten hurt pretty badly throughout the run (ie. the Mikey fight, the Atticus fight, and ESPECIALLY the final battle), however, he does not gain any (physical) scars from those fights. This is bc he's basically an axolotl, and axolotls are usually able to heal without scarring.

Pastey's "arms" are, to put it simply, mud prosthetics. More info here vvv

Pastey HAS met Mall Bingo once before the run, however, he doesn't recognize her. The only reason he does not recognize her is bc she wears glasses. (You know how people somehow aren't able to recognize Superman bc he wears glasses in his civilian attire even tho his face remains the same? It's basically like that lmao)

Unlike the lightbulbs he eats, the gasoline he drinks isn't really mandatory to his diet. Gasoline is like alcohol to him and he drinks it like an absolute CHAMP.

He goes fishing when there's nothing else to do or when he can't sleep at night. He doesn't do this bc he thinks it's fun or anything, only bc it's a "good time passer" or so he claims. Other members of the team will often sit with him and vent out anything that's troubling them at the moment, and Pastey is always there to listen to them.

And that's pretty much it. Next is Joe, Hannah Ü, and Mykyie!

For a while I've wanted to do a comic inspired by @/turtleboyofficial and @/ask-azelf-nuzlocke where Terapagos wakes up on its own, assumes human form, escapes from Area Zero, and basically takes the place of the protag, with... interesting results. (Specifically during the DLC.)

Professor Parasols Pokémorph Logs: The first enemy

Hello again IdolStart Followers! Once again my name is Professor Parasol and it's nice to get to talk to you again!

Well, today I thought we could talk about a topic that's been neglected until now, The first enemy of Pokémorphers

Now I myself don't study the enemy creatures as much as other topics relating to The Pokémorph Phenomenon, however my assistant does study these creatures a lot, so I'm going to be using a lot of his research for this log

First off: the creatures Origin and Power

They are beings from another reality that we can't properly perceive or understand. It is unknown how they travel from their reality to ours and why, but we do know that ultra wormholes have been ruled out as a possibility as the portals the creatures use look very different.

Now, while a human or Pokémon touching these creatures doesn't seem to do anything, at least briefly, but when these creatures use their powers, they can cause devastating and disorienting effects to the environment they inhabit, hence why we have been calling these creatures "Glitches"

i have provided visual reference, granted it's a drawing as it is very hard to take a clear photograph of a glitch, and i am not the best artist

Next up: notable behaviors and preferred habitats

Glitches are actually quite passive when not spotted, but if you do spot a Glitch, Run for your life as they can get very aggressive and will chase down anything and will not stop until whatever spotted them is down and dead

With that being said Glitches are very good at camouflaging themselves and hiding within their environments, and we know this, because Glitches can actually be mostly found within places with a lot of people or Pokémon. now despite the fact that Zacian and Zamazenta were the first Pokémon to help deal with Glitches by giving humans Pokémorph Watches, the most powerful Glitches and can currently be found in Paldea, it was also where they were first spotted.

Now Finally: What to do if you if you suspect Glitch Activity.

Now, the first thing to note is that if you suspect Glitch Activity if you're not a Pokémorpher, DO NOT GO LOOKING FOR THE GLITCH! Like i said before, Glitches can get VERY aggressive when seen, and while it is possible to damage a Glitch with trained Pokémon, they will target humans before Pokémon so it is unlikely that your Pokemon will attack before the Glitch get the jump on their trainer, so if you suspect Glitch Activity, Please contact the authorities, the Sooner these Glitches can be dealt with, the better.

Can we get a character design breakdown of OWS characters?

Now to begin. Otherworldly Spirits (Or just OWS) is a gijinka AU of Aimkid's OCs, which the characters there are supposed to be based off of or reference their original counterparts in some shape or form.

Now this picture is a silhouetted version of the main cast, now focus on their heads (except for Jerry and crop out the lower locks of the Walshe's hairs), while designing them I mostly try to make them seem similar towards their original counterparts without making them seem like different characters entirely... safe for the aforementioned Jerry-. Who I only managed to make similar to the blue dog by making his color palette strictly cool colored (Blues, dark teals, purples) as pictured below.

The way some of Aimkid's characters were redesigned as humans was that I had to keep some elements of their feral counterparts (that is not their ears and tails) into their gijinka versions is the way they were drawn, to properly elucidate, Violet (The femme presenting cat) still has their skin tone sclera (I.E No eye whites) that was present in cooking by the book's yellow cat.

While designing and making the AU versions what struck me as odd was the Yellow Cat, I've seen debates in youtube comment sections wondering if they're the same cat or not (Because both have oddly different designs down to their head shape, body and eyes, their pelt color also being in a different shade of yellow/orange) and to fix this issue all I had to do was create a confusing mitosis where I merge the two cats then split them so that both Violet (and their brother, Vinny) could still share some aspects of the cat's personality!

Now dear Asker/Viewer reading this, you may have noticed the subtle "V"s in this diagram, that's why I used it to name the Walshes... and their "V"s contributed into their last name (basically being a VV).

Now there are some Aimkid characters that were fully scrapped and were not added into the AU (though they exist in someway, basically not affecting the plot or interacting with the MCs). Seymour, Ron, Hugo and Mac are a great example of this, all of them are based off of songs by Lemon Demon (and only two were scrapped by Aimkid herself and the other was unfinished) but differ alot from their original counterparts

as in you wouldn't know who belonged to which unless they shared some similar attributes such as songs (This is very obvious with all four of them). This starts to become alot more problematic (for people guessing) if they're based off of a song that is unrelated to Lemon Demon. For example

Snowball (That's how she's referred to as professionally) is not based off of any song from Lemon Demon but she does have some semblances of "Indie Cindy" in her backstory (whom I'm going to share in the future), She's actually based off of "Can't" by Waterfront Dining. Some musical elements of the ghosts are actually vaporwave versions of classic songs and because Snowball doesn't have that Lemon Demon touch to her, she's practically stuck with Vaporwave instead. Even her artstyle reflects this as I based her physical appearance off of Josephine Baker. Now you may have heard "Artstyle" a little too much around here but I'd like to elaborate that it's very important in the context of this AU. There's emphasis with how different the characters look, not with the way they dress but the way they're drawn. Most of the OWS folk (safe for the ones non-Aimkid originals) are based off of the ways Aimkid draws her characters and how drastically different they can look from eachothers.

Translating cute, chibi, scenecore-esque characters into "Human" looking creatures is oddly fun because you can just experiment with how good (or hilariously bad) they might look. For example Darrel. Often at times for me he just looks like an oddly stylized JFK from Clone High (which funfact, before I was going to draw him, I planned his color palette by just recoloring JFK). In some cases if you look at Violet you'd be forgiven if you thought She was an obscure Hannah-Barbara character that has a small following (or just a blonde, clear eyed Velma).

The most obvious from the rest is Darrel. While designing him I had the UPA artstyle in mind due to how fluid, geometrical and bright SFM/Dipshit was and with how abstract UPA's artstyle is (and it's origins) it's just a match made in heaven! Jerry's more of a Adult Swim style, though neutrally he's Venture Bros. styled, once he regresses into a more unhinged state of mind he just ends up looking like... any unhinged montage from superjail. Violet and Vinny are both based off of Scooby Doo and Archie as both seem to handle the topic of mundane and supernatural, bonus! They're both owned and produced by The Warner Brothers (In Archie's case it isn't just had some movies and shows produced by the company). Now that's it for me breaking down my designs of my AU of Aimkid's OCs, hope this helps! :D

Summary: They should be used to desperate people making horrible decisions by now, but somehow it always goes too far before anyone does anything about it. A person fell prey to the empty promises of dark, powerful hearts to become Arcta Knight. As they make their mark on Dreamland, Meta Knight grows anxious about the encroaching danger and leaves suddenly to prepare for a duel like no other.

Fresh Kills

Sailing through the air on a set of powerful, black leather wings, Meta Knight climbed high into the clouds where the entirety of Dreamland could be seen. Especially the icy pockmark jutting from the plains. Precisely where Claihd had fled and where his men should be. The wind bit Meta Knight as he flew over the Whispy Woods. Uncharacteristically cold for the forest and plains. Most likely because of the glacier's creator. It wouldn’t be much longer for him to reach the ice; his wing beats carried him swiftly to the scene of the massacre.

Red stained the grass and snow, visible before he even reached the ground. Meta Knight had been through his fair share of wars, but this sight was unlike anything he had encountered before. His fellow men were stuck on spires. Ice lanced through their torsos and out of their throats. Tearing through the once great soldiers and presenting their viscera to the heavens. Cold, blue ice, tainted with their blood. Weapons scattered and broken far from their bodies.

Meta Knight hadn’t breathed since landing. He stood in shock, eyes wide as he stared at the carnage around him. An unsteady hand reached for the hilt of his sword. His legs were stiff and hesitant as he shakily wandered between the spires to the center of the battle field.

Lann laid in a messy pile. His arm was severed and frost burnt, ice climbing his pallid throat, eyes lifeless. Meta Knight averted his eyes quickly. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. This Knight, this monster, brought an incredible danger to the Dreamland Kingdom. Meta Knight couldn’t let that stand.

“About time you showed up.”

Meta Knight spun around and drew Galaxia, his golden sword, from his hip. The Knight with the harlequin mask stood across the battlefield from him. Their sword dripped with the fresh blood of their final kill. The mask grinned unnervingly at him, the violet lights illuminating its eyes focused on him, unmoving.

“Who are you?” Meta demanded, pointing the gilded tip of his serrated sword at the approaching evil. A scoff came from them as they stepped slowly closer and closer.

“I suppose I oughta name myself like the other Knights do. Let’s see,” they flicked their sword, casting the droplets of blood across their legs and where they walked, “Call me Arcta Knight. Is that fitting? For a woman like me?” Meta squinted at her. A foreboding wind blew through the field, picking up both of their capes and fluttering them to the side of the soldiers. He felt something odd about her voice, as if he had heard it somewhere years ago. Arcta tapped her blade against Galaxia and tilted her head at its owner. They stood, swords directed at each other’s throats, frozen for a long time. The harlequin grinning sardonically at Meta’s expressionless helmet. Meta awaited her first move, but she wasn’t budging. She knew better than to strike before he did. She knew a lot about the pure Knight of Dreamland.

“Why would you do this?” Meta asked through gritted teeth. She was quiet for a moment.

“I’m following my orders.” She said, a bite in her tone. The leather of her gauntlet creaked as she tightened her grip on her hilt. The tensing in her shoulder and the shifting of the weight in her legs signaled to Meta that she was about to move.

“Who do you work for?” He grimaced behind his mask. Meta outranked her speed easily. She knew that. Her violet eyes uncomfortably pierced his during their standstill, causing a shudder of disgust from Meta.

“Someone who is tired of your king’s failures and ventured to new horizons. I wonder if Dedede got the news by now? Hehe, you think he’d notice the radio silence and the culling of his guard.” Arcta seemed to enjoy confusing Meta. Her lilting teasing of his liege jabbed at his patience. Why wouldn’t she make a move already?

“Enough stalling. If you’re going to attack Dreamland you might as well strike me now.” He tightened himself, bolstering his defense and springing his wings from his dark blue cape. He flexed them slowly, preparing to take off as soon as he might need to. Arcta glanced at them and sheathed her sword, turning from the more adept swordsman. It would be foolish to challenge him in her current state.

“My Lord is calling to me… so I will have to save that challenge for another time. I look forward to crossing swords with you. Maybe you’ll remember by then.” Arcta walked away, a wall of ice blocking any pursuit as she vanished into the woods. Meta was flabbergasted. Several things weren’t lining up correctly. He flew over the wall of ice and landed on the other side in the trees but there was no trace of the harlequin anywhere. She didn’t fly off, there wasn’t a trace, she just vanished. No matter. He had more important matters to attend to. He had to warn Dedede of the danger targeting Dreamland.

Ok, so it would take some time for me to plan out and stuff....

But. Like. Would anyone be interested if I made a mostly written blog (with an occasional art piece here or there) about a gijinka au of the Pokemon team from my Pokémon Violet Nuzlocke (aka @pequenosol)? :0 It would contain some spoilers and stuff for a few Pokemon on the team, but the original story focuses mostly on the trainers and their relationships with each other rather than their Pokemon partners (w/ a few exceptions-), so this new story would be a much more fun way to explore said Pokemon's personalities and relationships!
